Ivano Balic is known to be the greatest handball player of all time, he played his last game on 2015 but still managed to keep his name remembered until this day three years later.

Balic the Croatian player has won numerous titles and medals in his days. Such as an Olympic golden medal from Athens 2004 and a World Championship with Croatia’s national team in 2003. He was voted several times to be the most valuable player in international championships. Here are a few of his highlights: In 2003 he won the world’s Men’s Handball Championship in Portugal.
In 2004 he won a gold medal at the summer Olympics and a silver medal the year after in the World Championship that took place in Tunisia. Later In 2007 he had his greatest handball game ever even though he got fifth place in the World’s Men Championship that was in Germany at the time and it was then when he was declared as the tournament’s MVP. And then later in 2008 Ivano played as a center back he was voted to be the top scorer which led him to a silver medal and was also voted as an All Star team of the tournament.
He was also selected as an IHF world player of the year twice, once in 2003 and another time in 2006. Which was one of his individual accomplishments, another accomplishment of his was when he chosen as Croatian sportsman of the year and his major title was being selected as Best Male Handball player ever based on a fans poll.
